One of those days

Ya ever have one of "those" days? Of course you do. We all do. I am having one today.
It has been a while since my last entry, but I have not had much to say lately. Those of you who know me think that this is hilarious, because I have the gift of gab, but I really have not had much to say that I would post here. I generally try to post the "funny" things of life. There just has not been much of that lately. Since that is the case, I will attempt to add humor to my ranting today.
Yes, I said ranting. I am ticked...
No, that is not right.
I am pissed!
Sorry for those of you I go to church with if that word offends you, but it is the most appropriate word that best describes my feelings.
Let me tell you about my day so far.
I got up at 5:40 a.m. and took Phillip to work at 6. I then went to Sonic and got breakfast for Britt and Joey because they wanted to eat the powdered donuts that I was saving for Nikki and Cori. So, it was a sort of appeasement. Then, I took the teens to seminary at 6:25.
When I came home, Nikki was dressed and Cori was looking for pants. After the girls were dressed they sat and ate their donuts that I saved from the ravenous teens. Gabe watched t.v. I then brushed hair and pony tailed two girls. I fed vitamins to three youngins and began cleaning my room.
I went and picked Britt and Joey up at 7:15 and came home. They brushed their teeth and we headed to school. Brittni realized as we pulled up to the school that she forgot her Algebra II book at home. GREAT!
Okay, I guess I'll bring it back, but I have to take my shower first.
I dropped off all 5 kids at their perspective schools (three in total) and went home. My phone rang just as I pulled in the driveway.
Joey was on the other end and informed me that she forgot her name badge was would get d-hall if she did not have it. UGH!
She told me it was on the living room table or the kitchen table. So, I go in and look......and look......and look. Then my phone rings again and she wants to know if I found it yet. I said, "No. Are you sure you left it at my house? I mean, when was the last time you had it in your hands?"
She hesitates and says, "Last night when I went to bed."
"So, is it possible that it is at your house?" I said.
She said, "Isn't that where you are?"
I said, "No. I told you I was at home when you called."
She said, "Oh, I thought it was implied that I left it at my house."
WHAT?!
Needless to say, I was headed out the door and my text light went off (she did not have the courage to call) and she found one in her purse.
So, I took a shower and got ready to take Britt that stupid Algebra book. I noticed I had time before 2nd period, so I finished cleaning my room.
I had a conversation with Trish on the phone and talked to two of my girl scout moms to get the order info that was due yesterday for our nut sales.
Before I take Britt the book, I get a text from her asking me to bring lunch to her and Alissa, her bbf. I texted back telling her that I was already going to spend enough money tonight for dinner. (I will come back to this evenings plans)
When I handed her the book, she begged me pitifully and and I buckled. The kids all get out of school early today at 2 p.m. for parent/teacher conferences. So, lunch was at 10:25.
I left the high school and went to Sonic for my daily IV fix of Dr. Pepper and then to Movie Gallery for a scary movie for tonight. I got Indiana Jones (not scary, but I want to see it) and Strangers (scary).
I then went back to Sonic (their food would have been cold if I had gotten it when I got my soda--besides, my town is small and that is not really a lot of driving). I then go to the high school and give them the food.
I text her the titles of which movies I rented, for her and her friends, and she never responded. That kinda ticked me off. I put forth effort to make her happy, the least she could do is not ignore my text messages.
I go home and begin the monumental task of organizing and tallying up the nut and magazine orders for 18 girls in my troop.
My phone rings.
Its my hubby.
He wants me to bring him food.
WHAT?!
Now, what you don't know is that I told him this weekend to be sure and pack his lunches and breakfasts because he has really gotten ridiculous with calling me to bring him both. So, in essence, I am making 4 trips a day to his work. One to drop him off, two for meals, and one to pick him up.
If I am not busy it does not bother me too much, but I have been feeling guilty about how much gas it has been adding up. Not to mention, half the time, lunch is some form of take-out. Now, he doesn't make me bring him breakfast that often, but when he does ask for it, it is always take-out.
That is a lot of flippin money!
Here is the real kicker...his car works, just not that well. He needs to be with me, so we can take it to the mechanic cause the transmission is jacked, but it does run.
Now, I already mentioned that we live in a small town. We live approximately 3 miles from work. That is the farthest we drive anywhere. All of the schools, fast food joints and Wal-Mart are withing that radius.
Its just a pain in my financial conscious!
Well, back to Phillips' request for lunch.
I was slightly irritated, because I have so much to do before I can mail my nut order.
I cooked a box of mac-n-cheese and added a can of tuna for myself to eat for brunch (I don't eat breakfast). I made it after I cleaned my room this morning. I only ate a few bites before I was so busy with other things that I forgot to eat it. Anyway, I was mad about having to stop the nut stuff that I loaded a bowl with the tuna mac and nuked it for a minute, stirred it, covered it, and wrapped a fork in a paper towel.
I drove to his work and added a $1.25 for a couple of sodas.
I got a little satisfaction in the reaction he had when he saw the half dried out looking pasta dish I handed him for his lunch. It was quite comical when he lifted the paper wrapped fork and looked puzzled to find money there. He was certainly expecting fast food and I delivered old tuna mac and a dolla! HA HA HA!!
Maybe he will pack his own daggum lunch and won't have to worry about "funky surprise" as a hunger quencher. Did I mention that he hates tuna mac? He will eat it, cause me and the kids all love it, but it is definitely on his list of "could live withouts."
I did all of this before 11:30 this morning.
I am now going home to finish my girl scout stuff.
Britt's pseudo boyfriend's birthday is today and so I have a some teenagers coming over to hang out and watch movies. She is "talking" to 5 boys right now. It is insane! She won't be an official girlfriend to any of them.
The one coming over tonight is the one she went to Homecoming with on Friday. He is my favorite of her "31 flavors."
Anyway, wish me luck!
I have to go to all three schools today for those parent/teacher conferences. Today is report card day. YAY! (heavy sarcasm implied)
I hate waiting in the lines just to hear some teacher tell me that my daughter is blah biddy blah blah!!
Just hand me the report card and let me go. My daughters are not trouble makers and make good grades, so why can't they just send them by mail or in their weekly folders? Why do they hold them ransom with a face to face with teachers who don't want to see me any more than I want to see them?
Its a stupid rule!
Anyway, now that I have vented.
Smooches and ciao!

Breath....easy....Ok. you need to take Tai Chi Classes with me! I refuse to go to school conferences. They will send it home with the kid, or in the mail. Parent/Teacher conferences are a waist of time. It will take time for You to get used to not going, but once you do, it will free you. Inform your family, that you will no longer bring forgotten items or lunch. The more independent your children are, the better mother you are! Girl Scouts! pghhgg! What about genealogy...temple work? Put your treasures in Heaven!! What are you teaching your kids in all of this? Certainly not, independence....not the teachings of the prophets! Get ahold or yourself woman! Slap...slap...Snap out of it
April!! Wake up!!
