Jiggly buds

This morning jump started with a ha ha funny moment!

Before I get started, I have to comment, with regret, that I did not become a blogger much sooner. We are encouraged to write in journals and I admit, the idea of sitting down and writing has seemed to be more of a chore than pleasure. I understand the principle of the concept, but have a hard time committing to it. (I hated homework. Writing in a journal is homework to me.)
Now, I have found the great and powerful blog.
I type much faster than I can write AND it is a heck of a lot easier to erase a mistake or misspelled word.
I tell you these things simply to lament on the fact that I have missed documenting so many cute things that my children have said over the years, especially Britt and Nikki. They are old enough to not say "the darndest things" like Bill Cosby would say. Don't get me wrong, they still have their moments, but those "moments" are few and far between. Cori on the other hand, has a plethora of quizzical logic to spread. Remember "day dreaming" or the "va pee pee" moment?
Hilarious!
Okay, now for my funny of the day.

I am standing at the stove, making breakfast burritos and I call the girls and Gabe (he spent the night last night) to come eat. Cori and Gabe notice that Nikki has dust in her hair and comment on it. Nikki proceeds to explain her condition and states that she was cleaning under her bed. (I told them to make their beds and clean their rooms---the were spotless yesterday.)
Anyway, she continued by saying that she hurt her shoulder and chi chi's by trying to squeeze under the bed. Just for those who aren't aware, Nikki is sprouting "buds" and they are very tender.

Cori looks at me and says, "I'm glad I don't have boobs!"
I looked at her and said, "You are?"
"Yea, cuz Nikki is always hurting hers and I don't want my boobs to hurt,"
she replied.

Now, this statement is funny in and of itself, because, Cori is my very scrawny and bony child. So to hear her say she doesn't want her "boobs" to hurt. Makes me laugh. To me, boobs imply a certain size and I am pretty certain that Cori will NEVER have BOOBS.

Anyway, I continued to prepare breakfast, when Cori, after what must have been much pondering, smiled and made the following statement, "There is one good thing about having boobs..."
I lifted my head and looked at her.
She proudly lifted one hand with one finger pointing, as if to say she has the number one idea of all time.
Then, my scrawny daughter announces, "You can make them jiggle!"
"What?!" I said.
"Yea, Nikki makes her jiggle all the time! It's cool," she stated with envy.

There just is never a dull moment at my house. I love my daughters and the smile lines they give me. Thank heaven for little "jiggly" girls!

Smooches and ciao!

OK, first of all...ewwww. Please let that be all. BLAh,blah, blah, yaya, yayaya, (blocking my ears) I can't hear you. Little Niki, does not have any of those things, and second well, I don't even want to address the "j" word. She is just a baby for pete's sake! Ok we are not even talking about this. Tell me about their summer, about their pets, about getting ready for school. Between you and Amanda letting it all hang out, does the word discretion mean anything to you two? A lady never reveals her bits in public. Ugghhhh! What am I gonna do with the two of you!!

Sorry to scar your brain. HA HA!
Now that you have opened the can of worms, I would love to hear Amanda's gory details as well.
TOO FUNNY!!
I am proud that I was able to make you relive pain from when Amanda and Ashley were "coming of age."
HA HA!!
